The Faculty of Islamic Studies sent the largest number of participants, namely 23 students. The farewell ceremony took place in the FAI Seminar Room, Iqra Building, Floor 4, Thursday (July 23, 2026). The students are scheduled to carry out community service from July 29 to August 31, 2026, along with participants of KKN MAS from various Muhammadiyah and 'Aisyiyah (PTMA) universities throughout Indonesia.

The Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies of Unismuh Makassar, Dr. Amirah Mawardi, S.Ag., M.Si., officially released the departure of the KKN MAS participants. In her address, she emphasized that the students represented the institution, bringing the identity of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar to the community.

"You are the face of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Therefore, maintain the reputation of the university, faculty, program, and family during your community service at the KKN location," said Dr. Amirah.

In addition to maintaining the reputation of the institution, the Dean of FAI also reminded the importance of building a spirit of service to the community. According to him, the success of KKN is not only measured by the completion of the work program, but also by how well the students can bring benefits and solutions to the community.

"Be a servant to the community. The presence of students must provide a positive impact through knowledge, example, and attitudes that reflect Islamic values. Good service is service that is felt by the community," he said.

KKN is expected to truly have an impact on the community through the knowledge we bring, so that the benefits can be felt.

He also urged all participants to maintain unity during the KKN. Solidarity among participants is considered an important asset in solving various challenges in the field.

"Take care of each other. Build good communication, remind each other, and solve every problem through deliberation so that all activities can run smoothly until completion," he added.

KKN-Mas 2026 carries the spirit of realizing an advanced village based on food security and strengthening local potential. This theme provides space for students from various disciplines to organize activities that are appropriate to the problems, needs, and assets of the village.
