Faculty of Engineering Professional Practice (KKP) Training, Unismuh Makassar, Academic Year 2025-2026

The Faculty of Islamic Studies (FAI) of Muhammadiyah University, Makassar, held the 2025/2026 Professional Work Program (KKP) Pre-training on Saturday, 28 Rajab 1447 H, which corresponds to January 17, 2026. The event took place from 07.30 WITA to completion, and was held in the I-Gift Room, 2nd Floor of the Iqra Tower, Muhammadiyah University, Makassar. This pre-training is the initial stage for students before being deployed directly into the community.

Approximately 128 students from four study programs, namely Islamic Religious Education (PAI), Arabic Language Education (PBA), Sharia Law (HES), and Islamic Education Guidance and Counseling (BKPI), participated in this KKP pre-training. The aim is to strengthen the academic, mental, and professional skills of students so that they are ready to serve the community according to their respective fields of expertise.

The event was opened with a speech by the Committee Chair, Ratna Wulandari, S.Pd., M.Pd., followed by a speech and pre-training by the Dean of FAI, Dr. Amirah Mawardi, S.Ag., M.Si. In her speech, she emphasized that the KKP students are representatives of the Faculty of Islamic Studies. "The KKP students will fully represent the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, and are expected to be role models and bring positive change and good in the KKP location as a form of service to the community," she said.

The pre-training materials were delivered by competent lecturers and academics, namely Dr. Amirah Mawardi, S.Ag., M.Si., Dr. Ilham Muchtar, Lc., M.A., Ya'qub, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I., and Dr. Ir. Muhammad Yunus Ali, S.T., M.T., IPM. The speakers equipped the students with an understanding of community ethics, KKP work programs, integration of Islamic knowledge, and the role of students as agents of change in the community.

The KKP implementation will last for 45 days, starting from January 19 to March 5, 2026, with placement locations in eight villages in Galesong Sub-district, Takalar Regency, namely Galesong Baru, Galesong Timur, Kampung Beru, Boddia, Mappakalompo, Bontoamangape, Parambambe, and Bontoloe. This activity also serves as a tangible proof of the commitment of Muhammadiyah University, Makassar, as an excellent and Islamic university in producing graduates who are competitive and socially conscious. This also serves as a promotional opportunity for the university in welcoming new students (PMB), inviting young people to join and grow with Unismuh Makassar as a center of academic excellence and community service.
